Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) is the premier government-owned prosthetics and assistive devices manufacturer in India, operating under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities since 1976. As a not-for-profit Mini-Ratna CPSU, ALIMCO produces a comprehensive range of rehab aids—from upper and lower limb prosthetic kits and hearing aids to wheelchairs and CP chairs—available at reasonable cost nationwide through its six production centers and five marketing offices .
Through initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Divyasha Kendras (PMDKs), ALIMCO offers free or subsidized aids under government schemes, while advancing local R&D with 3D printing and forming MoUs with global tech partners like Ottobock and Motivation UK.
